Climate
The island's climate is typically Mediterranean. It enjoys mild temperatures with an annual average of between 16°C and 17°C. In summer, it reaches 24°C, and in winter, 11°C. Its mild climate is partly the result of the island's cool north wind: the Tramuntana.
The annual average rainfall varies from one place to another on the island, between 450 mm in the southeast and 650 mm inland and in the northeast. The rainfall is not constant over the year; it normally comes in autumn, which is the season for the highest rainfall, and rarely appears in summer.
